.rose from the dead nearly seven hundred years ago

.if their skin is penetrated, it heals instantly
.copper is the only thing that can pierce their skin/kill them {copper bullets, blades, ect.}
.engage in rapture {a daze like state in which they feed/take blood from who ever they choose to feed from}
.rapture and thrall is high dangerous for a human {feeding goes too far, the Darkyn is too bloodthirsty and the human dies}
.Most are french speaking but those who live in America have tamed the language
.Brethren ;
.Followers of God
.Allegiance consisting of priests
.Men only
.Take capture of Vrykolakas to torture them and eventually murder them
.Seek to kill out the Darkyn
.Have novitiates who are Brethren in training
.Succumb novitiates to starvation and torture while telling them it is a test of strength
.Tell no one of their mission
